Although wood is more susceptible to rot and decay than plastic, it’s extremely long-lasting when properly protected from the elements. Think of wood homes that have been around for decades and even centuries! That’s why it’s important to purchase a storage shed from a reputable shed manufacturer that builds sheds following commonly accepted construction practices.
If you go tuffshed try and get 20% off 10-15 is ok. They are definitely expensive I have had 1 built and built about 8 myself. Your best is to find a used 1 of cl. Make sure you check city zoning. Lots of the deals people have them installed and city says remove it. Here is a 10X12 a quick cl search http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/grd/3550391462.html We bought it through Home Depot when it was on sale and they let us use a coupon too.

There are several problems with this, starting with the fact that gravel is not a permanent firm surface. Over a relatively short period of time, the gravel will sink into the ground causing your shed to slowly become unstable and out of square.
Coming in at number 4 is the Keter Artisan 97, but it is simply the most modern design storage shed on this list. It will match a great variety of new construction homes, but also put a modern touch to older traditional homes. I think my favorite part about the Artisan is how the windows are designed, it is certainly ahead of its time when compared to other sheds. Having the Keter premium wood exterior provides customization in two ways: Paintable (Optional) Can drill and screw shelving units to personal preference
It comes with a 5/50 Year Limited Warranty which means you should have peace of mind for a long, long time to come! If you like the look of this Premier Garden Shed, then this might be for you.

Have a tuff shed since we bought our house. Mine is on dirt has held up nicely.the steel framed door is great. We have 10x12. Isn't that Tuff Shed right off the 60 in Ontario? Maybe you can save some coin going straight to them. I have had both a tuff shed and another kit I bought at a local lumber store. I think both were equal in quality. The kit was much cheaper because I built it...the kit was just a lumber package. I can't remember how much they were because it was so long ago, but as far as quality I felt they were comparable. I had the kit shed for 15 years and it was in just as good of shape as the day it was built. Maybe you can find a used one on craigslist and save some money. You would just need a flatbed trailer and some RDP peeps to help you load and unload it. Have a tuff shed since we bought our house. Mine is on dirt has held up nicely.the steel framed door is great. Keter warns that, although the rough wood-like panels are paintable, the plastic trim is not. For the trim, use a pre-primed paint made for plastic, or prime the trim first. Then, use your acrylic paint everywhere.
Metal as you can guess is a lot of heavier but also sturdier. They will last a lot longer and require little maintenance.
Bought a 10x16 from T.S. about 10 years ago, happy with it. It was the largest footprint I could get without needing a permit. I bought the gambrel barn style and built my own loft in it, the cost of the loft option was ridiculous, and I built mine with 2x10 joists and 5/8 plywood so I could put heavy stuff up there. It is on a dirt pad I leveled and put some pea gravel down on, the bottom is galv. channel. Never gone out of level. I have this thing loaded very very heavy, and zero issues.
Retail sheds are either Pre-fabs or custom-made. Pre-fab sheds offer limited customizations. Whereas, the custom-made offer more options. Pre-fabs are cheaper but custom-made sheds are a lot more expensive.
