While a wood or metal shed is likely to have walls that are heavily reinforced and as such not likely to warp, this is not the case with most plastic sheds. The typical plastic shed features single or double layer walls made of flexible polyethylene resin.
First, find out if the local storage sheds folks are actually manufacturers or storage shed suppliers and resellers. Many of us like to find the best deals possible when we are trying to decide WHERE TO BUY A BACKYARD SHED. Of course, we also care about looks and storage shed designs, but our pocketbooks often decide what we can actually afford. Imagine if you were able to buy a larger shed or a more aesthetically pleasing backyard building for the same price as an economy storage shed simply because you took the time to shop around and find a better deal. .
At Recreation Unlimited, we understand that when it comes to sheds, one size does NOT fit all. That’s why we custom build sheds to fit a variety of needs.
Very happy with my split shed with the additional storage space that the lofts provide. 8x14 footprint and two 5x7 bonus spaces in the lofts. This is the 4th shed I've bought from Mitch and always good service and quality construction. As a builder I would have a hard time stick building and purchasing the materials for the price I get a delivered shed from Mitch. Gary Strassler 2 years ago
The lean-to roof design is simple and elegant at the same time. It can be built free-standing or against your house or garage. The windows will help you keep on task and enjoy nature views.
Depending on where you shop and what manufacturer you are considering, resin sheds may also be called plastic sheds, vinyl sheds, or high-density polyethylene sheds. (Lifetime sheds are made of high-density polyethylene.) Resin sheds are the newest type of sheds on the market and are quickly becoming the most popular choice of shed for several reasons.
This project is about a small log shed that has a roof to protect the wood from water. This shed is extremely easy to build and features a nice design, so you can place it near your home. MORE >>
Do NOT purchase anything from Recreation Unlimited these crooks! I worked with Linzi Jones and Alicia Schilke (The GM) and they are incompetent liars. I purchased a play set and playhouse for over $12,000, I ordered the same thing that was on the floor and what came was totally the wrong set. I ordered the 6 foot version and they sent me the 4 foot version. I have tried to get them to fix the situation and they are unwilling to accept fault. You would think for $12k they could fix their mistake. DO NOT buy from these snakes!!
I don’t like giving the “It Depends.” answer but it definitely applies here. Is it a shed “kit” you would buy at Home Depot? Are you buying through a shed builder that provides all materials and build it onsite? Are you buying the materials and having someone else build it? Or are you buying all the materials and building yourself? If building yourself, do you have all the tools required or do you need to buy/rent some? On top of that, you’re looking type of foundation, size, materials used, etc.
Did you guys price materials to build your own before you considered a custom-built one?
The answer is pre-primed specialty plastic paint. Or use a made for plastic primer first, and then any paint will stick.
Bought a 10x16 from T.S. about 10 years ago, happy with it. It was the largest footprint I could get without needing a permit. I bought the gambrel barn style and built my own loft in it, the cost of the loft option was ridiculous, and I built mine with 2x10 joists and 5/8 plywood so I could put heavy stuff up there. It is on a dirt pad I leveled and put some pea gravel down on, the bottom is galv. channel. Never gone out of level. I have this thing loaded very very heavy, and zero issues.
Do you want to store up to 2 cords of firewood and do it in an economic and safe manner? Nothing is easier than that, as you can just check out my free set of plans dedicated to this topic. This shed features a lean to roof with 3 sides that are properly enclosed, while the front is open for an easy access inside. Make sure you use the skids because that lifts the frame from the ground and protects the components from moisture. This is a simple design that you can use for years in a row. MORE >>

Resin sheds kits are available in a variety of sizes and some manufacturers, including Lifetime, offer expansion kits to customize the shed to even more size options. Resin sheds are by far the easiest type of sheds to build. These kits are very quick and easy to assemble with less tools, less time, and less "carpentry knowledge" needed than with a wooden shed. Resin shed kits are less expensive than their wooden shed kit counterparts, but more expensive than metal shed kits.
It was a pleasure working with them to design our shed. It was built and delivered quickly. The guys did a great job removing and replacing the fence and installing it. The shed is absolutely beautiful.
If you have a wood or metal shed, the damp from the ground will slowly seep into the wood or onto the metal. This leads to rot and rust that will in time destroy your shed. The more it rains or snows, the more unstable the soil is likely to become, leaving your shed unsafe and insecure.
