While the shed plans can vary in design, they should all have the same basic concept.
Absolutely a wonderful experience. I had a very tight budget and they made it happen!!
Do you guys know any company that supplies Tongue and Groove design cabins? It seems that I can not really find such suppliers in US. These are popular overseas and looks much better than standard sheds
That was the first thing I had noticed between Tuff Sheds and Heartland Sheds… While both are made from wood, their foundations are different: Lowes Heartland Sheds have a wood foundation. Home Depot Tuff Sheds are made with a galvanized steel framework.

Metal: These buildings can be made from galvanized steel or aluminum. They usually have a special coating that keeps them from scratching and rusting. They need very little maintenance to keep them usable and looking good.Vinyl: Vinyl sheds have a solid construction and are durable enough to withstand extreme weather. They usually have paintable steel doors to give you extra security.Wood: Wooden barns give your yard a more homely or rustic look. These sheds often look like small houses instead of outdoor storage space. What sizes of storage sheds are there?
One of the major reasons our shed is more expensive than the low quality version is that we opted for vinyl siding (a $400 upgrade). Vinyl siding is virtually maintenance-free, and with a 2×4-over-plywood substructure, it will last for at least 20 years. The wood siding on the low-quality shed will require painting and will wear out far more quickly. We think vinyl looks much better, too.
By its very nature, plastic is quite lightweight, making it quite easy for your plastic shed to be blown over. More importantly, if your shed is one that has been snapped together, the wind may not only knock your shed over but also break it apart.
Joe, I tend to have the same sentiments. We’ve heard Advantech sheathing is a really good material for sheathing work – even better than plywood. I can stand OSB as long as it’s being used in the right space, under the right conditions. The floor and roof of a shed is absolutely no place for OSB.
Cutting firewood into the right size is crucial so that the wood easily fits into your shed and fireplace when it is ready to burn.

Use this tool to help you estimate what shed size you should get based on how you want to use it and what items you want to keep there.
The next project is also about a firewood rack, but this is slightly larger. While it doesn’t have a roof, the rack is large enough to store a significant quantity of firewood. If you are looking for a quick and cheap project (under 10$), this project is the right one for your needs. You can make several units if you have a larger quantity to store. MORE >>
My mom bought a tough shed a few years back. I built out the inside with heavy duty shelfs. They are nice.
