Ramps: When using your shed for outdoor storage, a ramp can help you get your lawn mower or snow blower in and out more easily.Windows: Allowing some natural light into the building will make it more user-friendly. Some windows even allow you to install shutters and window boxes to give your outdoor storage a more homely feel.Lofts: Lofts create another floor for additional storage. This way, you can park your large yard equipment below and keep fertilizer overhead.Shelves: Like lofts, shelves give you the ability to keep your tools organized. Some manufacturers make both sheds and the shelves for them, meaning the shelves are designed to be safe and secure.Work benches: If you want to use your shed as an additional work or hobby area, getting a good workbench is essential.

And no doubt, a vinyl sided shed lasts a very long time! There is virtually nothing to keep up with. No paint, no rotting (if you have a pressure treated floor), and more sleep at night!
If you want a fun do-it-yourself project, you can probably build a Heartland Shed for a lot less money than the cost of buying a Tuff Shed and having it installed.
A successful DIY shed starts with choosing the right shed plans. First, determine how much space you can commit to an outbuilding, and check local codes for setbacks as you decide where to put it. It’s also important to consider what you’d like to store in the shed. Small tools can be hung on walls to save space, but large items like lawnmowers and snow blowers need more square footage.

Tip: Remember that not all wood sheds are built the same. For the sake of this article, vinyl sided wood sheds being referenced are built according to generally accepted housing standards (wall studs 16” on center, 30 yr. roof shingles, etc). Not cheap wood buildings that are susceptible to rot and decay or being blown over in the next wind storm.
Another tip is to take advantage of tool rentals so you don’t have to buy everything required for construction. If you currently have a good selection of tools, it will save on the amount you will need to rent (if borrowing from a neighbor is not an option).
Building a shed can certainly be a cheaper option considering all the money you can save on the purchase cost as well as potential transportation and installation fees.

Jackie was great to work with. We had looked in our area (2 hours away) and couldn’t find anything we really liked. An online search led us to Recreation Unlimited. Searching their website led us to the Enamour Spa in the Fantasy line. A couple of phone calls to ensure it was what we were interested in and we were ready to buy. We actually did all the paperwork through email and did not actually visit their location until the day we picked up the spa. Being 2 hours away was outside their delivery area but the spa itself was really easy to move an set up. We were in it the next night. Will recommend both Jackie & Recreation Unlimited to anyone interested in a new spa.
If the price seems unreal (hundreds of dollars less than the cost of a new shed), the chances are good that quality is lacking.
