So, I was pretty much intent on buying a wood shed. But, just for good measure, I did check out metal sheds and plastic sheds, too: Unfortunately, metal sheds can rust — like my existing one did. And I didn’t want another rusty metal shed on my hands in a few years. I once owned a small plastic shed. It’s still standing after nearly 20 years (now in my sister and brother-in-law’s yard). It’s served both me and now my sister and her husband well — but they’re ready to replace it. The plastic shed’s paneling is beginning to warp, allowing water inside the shed.
Has anyone recently bought the shed from them ? Wondering if recent reviews are positive about this company ? Has anyone recently bought the shed from them ? Having a roof over your shed will keep the rain and snow from ruining your supply of wood. Constant rain and snow could reduce the quality of the top layers of your wood stack. Just think, if you always grab firewood from the top layer and that layer is always getting rained on, then you're always grabbing wet wood! If you have ever tried to start a fire with wet wood you know it can be very frustrating and time consuming. A roof over the firewood is very convenient because it's permanent and unlike a tarp or cover, you never have to worry about taking it off and putting it back on. Have the roof overhang the woodpile on all sides to offer protection and prevent water from dripping on your firewood.
Notes on Delivery: All wood sheds made by Shed City USA include free delivery as long as we have adequate clearance to get our truck/trailer to the location you want the shed setup. Generally, we need a 12′ wide clearance to back our truck and trailer through. In addition, we need adequate clearance (height). If we do not have these clearances the shed will need to be built on-site, add 18% to the total price of the shed. Please call us at 1-800-987-4337 if you have any questions. Not only are they less stressful to work with, but you can get the whole family involved in building them and make a fun family day out of the project.
If the interest on a personal loan seems too expensive, a home equity loan or home equity line of credit (HELOC) might be better options for financing your shed. Both the home equity loan and HELOC let you borrow against the amount of equity you currently have in your home.
I was gonna buy one a while back. Couldn't bring myself to pay what the wanted. I ended up building one myself. 10x12 on a slab. Cost me right about $1,000 for the whole thing including the concrete.

NOTE: I did apply new floor paint in my Tuff Shed to freshen up the interior of this former floor model. However, I called my Tuff Shed sales rep before doing so — to make sure I was using paint that doesn’t void the multi-year warranty with my shed. I recommend you consult your Tuff Shed rep for the same advice to avoid having any problems down the road with a voided warranty.
Both shed manufacturers have a wide variety of configurations — including standard, semi-custom, and custom wood sheds.
