The floors in both the Tuff Sheds and the Heartland Sheds seem roughly equivalent to me. Heartland Sheds places their studs 24 inches apart in the models I looked at. Tuff Shed spaces their studs just 16 inches apart.

Tip: Storage sheds are also available in wood siding. Modern wood siding is engineered to withstand moisture and holds paint and stain very well. It’s a good option if you prefer the classic look of wood.
I promised in my shed delivery article that I’d be sharing a brief buying guide a week later. I didn’t make good on the timeline, but I didn’t forget the commitment.
Wooden shed kits are more expensive than resin or metal shed kits of a comparable size. And, while wood is a very strong material, it is also very vulnerable. Harsh weather, water, and insects can wreak havoc on wooden sheds causing them to rot and deteriorate. The paint finish on wooden sheds will also peel and fade over time which will require repainting and other maintenance.
Use this tool to help you estimate what shed size you should get based on how you want to use it and what items you want to keep there.
Then, just like when buying a car, you need to look over the shed. While the seller may give you reasons why the shed's on the market, you should always investigate the structure yourself—or bring along someone else who knows what to look for. You need to discover for yourself if the shed is in fair condition. Visible damages - Check for visible damages like cracks, termite activity, warping, rust, and rot. Also look for signs of exterior damage to a shed such as from a falling tree branch or lawn mower impact. Dampness - Does the inside of the shed feel damp? Is there evidence of mold or mildew? Base - Examine the shed's base. Watch out for rotting of timber around the base if it's a wooden shed or corrosion of steel if it is a metal shed. Upkeep - Look for signs of regular maintenance (good) or repairs (possibly not so good).
Garden sheds provide an additional outdoor space for storage so that you do not have to keep your yard tools indoors. Although they are great places to keep lawnmowers, lawn chemicals, and other gardening tools, some are large enough to keep seasonal items that you do not currently have a use for. Outdoor storage sheds come in a variety of materials and sizes, so finding a storage solution that fits your needs is easy.
Not sure how to find the right storage building for your needs at a fair price? No problem! Our Ultimate Shed Buying Guide will give you a complete look at the shed buying process.

This narrow shed from HowToSpecialist also made the list, because it look fabulous. This stores firewood and also has a separate area for the small twigs. In addition, this wood shed features a gable roof to protect the logs from the elements. I love the simplicity of the design, but don’t be fooled because it will surprise you by how sturdy it is. Our shed is constructed with 2×4 roof rafters spaced 16″ o.c. with a 1/2″ plywood sheathing. The low quality shed uses the same 2×3 as are used on its walls, spaced 24″ o.c. with 1/2″ OSB on top. Over time, the roof of the low quality shed is much more likely to sag, especially in a high-moisture environment.
The first project is the most basic firewood rack you can build. If you have several 2x4s you can assemble this basic rack, so that you can store firewood. Although this rack cannot store a lot of firewood, this project is ideal for a porch or a deck that is near an outdoor fireplace. The plans are simple and well detailed. MORE >>

After the fad of vinyl siding wore off, back came the wooden storage sheds in a much more classy look that mimics vinyl siding in the exterior look…with just a bit more uppity look and technology. As mentioned, these LP SmartSide products are designed to stand the test of time.
