Wood Sheds – The craftsmanship on our wood sheds is second to none. They feature lofts, gables, windows, and paint or stain in your choice of colors. You can even choose from a variety of different shingle options and build a wood shed that matches your home. While our wood sheds are great for storage, they’re also ideal for setting up your very own she-shed (or he-shed).
I’m a roller coaster junkie, a weather enthusiast, a frequent traveler, and a numismatist. My love for coins began when I was 11 years old. I primarily collect and study U.S. coins produced during the 20th century. I’m a member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA) and the Numismatic Literary Guild (NLG). I’ve also been studying meteorology and watching weather patterns for years. I enjoy sharing little-known facts and fun stuff about coins, weather, travel, health, food, and living green… on a budget. I work from home full-time as a journalist, reporter, and author.
So I decided to check them out when it was time to replace the 20-year-old metal shed that was rusting away in my backyard.
If you don’t have a nice neighbor getting rid of their old fencing check on Craig’s List or at your nearest Habit ReStore. If you can’t score used pickets you can buy them or substitute plywood for the shelves. I moved in virtually everything from my old metal shed right away. Everything fits perfectly in my new wood Tuff shed — the storage and organization inside is awesome.

Bought a 10x16 from T.S. about 10 years ago, happy with it. It was the largest footprint I could get without needing a permit. I bought the gambrel barn style and built my own loft in it, the cost of the loft option was ridiculous, and I built mine with 2x10 joists and 5/8 plywood so I could put heavy stuff up there. It is on a dirt pad I leveled and put some pea gravel down on, the bottom is galv. channel. Never gone out of level. I have this thing loaded very very heavy, and zero issues.

There are 3 decisions to make about shed alarms and keeping intruders out of your shed
That was the first thing I had noticed between Tuff Sheds and Heartland Sheds… While both are made from wood, their foundations are different: Lowes Heartland Sheds have a wood foundation. Home Depot Tuff Sheds are made with a galvanized steel framework.
Although it is cheaper to build your own utility shed, buying the shed is better bang for your buck. This is because the quality of a professionally built shed will be higher than a kit; shed builders buy in bulk, which saves money. Other things to take into consideration are your time and the hassle of trying to build one yourself. By purchasing through a quality-built shed company you can spend your time elsewhere and save yourself a hassle, while getting top-notch quality!
