This narrow shed from HowToSpecialist also made the list, because it look fabulous. This stores firewood and also has a separate area for the small twigs. In addition, this wood shed features a gable roof to protect the logs from the elements. I love the simplicity of the design, but don’t be fooled because it will surprise you by how sturdy it is. Resin sheds kits are available in a variety of sizes and some manufacturers, including Lifetime, offer expansion kits to customize the shed to even more size options. Resin sheds are by far the easiest type of sheds to build. These kits are very quick and easy to assemble with less tools, less time, and less "carpentry knowledge" needed than with a wooden shed. Resin shed kits are less expensive than their wooden shed kit counterparts, but more expensive than metal shed kits.

What I like about the Duramax StoreMax is the fire retardant PVC material. With many fires happening in the world today creating fireproof materials is a great idea. Sheds have tools, gasoline, and other things that could create a fire, so why not have a fireproof area? Specs 7 ft x 7 ft Fire Retardant PVC Weather-Water Proof 6. Rubbermaid Roughneck Storage Shed My favorite part of the Rubbermaid Roughneck Storage Shed is that you get to choose what size you want. The larger 7 ft x 7ft and the 7 ft x 10.5 ft have the double door window style. However, if you choose anything smaller like the 5 ft x 6 ft, you still get double doors, but no window style and the ceiling is not as high. Jeff, this is a really good question. The bold and unmitigated answer is “No.” But it’s not because we didn’t want to, we just didn’t have the time to build the shed and get everything else done we’re working on – and we needed to get some things into storage so we could work on the shop. I expect that the materials for our shed probably ran about $1,000-1,300, but that’s just a guess. Usually I expect labor to be about 50-60% of the job in our area when we have to contract stuff out.

The roof rafters are pre-jigged at the plant with high pressure steel press plates on both sides.
Our shed is constructed with uniform 2×4 studs spaced 16″ o.c. covered with 1/2″ plywood walls. The low quality shed is build with 2×3 lumber spaced 24″ o.c. (and nearly 4′ o.c. on the side walls) with 1/2″ OSB for walls. The walls of the low quality shed are much more likely to buckle over time, especially if the 2x3s and OSB are subject to high moisture. High quality 2×4 lumber provides significantly more structural rigidity in the build.
