You’ll pay a separate price to have your Heartland Shed professionally installed — and that cost can easily run into the hundreds of dollars or more, depending on the model.

Excuses aside, I think this is an important topic to cover, because I’m sure many of you will be building or buying a shed in the next few years. Ethan took some time earlier this week to head to a local (purposefully unnamed) big box store to snap some pics of a low quality model. Now we’ve got everything we need for the comparison.
Recreation Unlimited offers a variety of shed styles so you can choose the one that best meets your needs. For example, our Gambrel Barn provides the classic barn-style look that many people love. The Garden Shed is our most popular shed style thanks largely to its versatility of design. Looking for something a little more modern? You’ll love the minimalist-inspired aesthetic of our Wedge and Starlight Wedge sheds. One thing’s for sure - no matter which style you choose, you are guaranteed unmatched quality and attention to detail.
You are using an out of date browser. It may not display this or other websites correctly. I figure a 10X12 fully configured with shelving, vents, window, double doors, pegboards, etc. is about $3500. + taxes which includes install. If you were looking for something like that what else might you consider as an alternative? Wood with some kind of steel foundation. It would sit on a concrete slab in my back yard. I notice they go on sale from time to time.....about 10% off when on sale at Home Depot but I think that is usually for one in stock

Wasted two weeks, only to tell me they only service two brands of spas, which didn’t include mine. Seems like that could have been flushed on during the initial phone call. Then I had follow up question for Alicia, and she simply neglected to respond. Incredibly unhelpful and wasted my time. I’d give zero stars if it was an option. Explore other options
I cant say enough about the Customer Care this Team at Recreation Unlimited has shown us. They were patient and were with me every step of the way while making our decision on a Trampoline and Goalsetter Basketball Hoop. When I had Questions, they answered them extremely quickly and they are extremely knowledgeable as well. Even though I had done research, there was some data I couldn't find, they were still there to answer those questions as well. When in doubt seek Recreation Unlimited out. You cant find better pricing either. I cant wait to get our equipment.I would like to give a big shout-out to Alicia, Micaela for putting my order together and Jackie for staying with me on the phone while the store was probably closed.
If you would like a shed with any of the above options please call us at 1-800-987-4337 to order your shed over the phone.
I have never had a problem stacking my wood directly on the cement, and both lean-tos keep my wood dry and ready for use.
The floors in both the Tuff Sheds and the Heartland Sheds seem roughly equivalent to me. Heartland Sheds places their studs 24 inches apart in the models I looked at. Tuff Shed spaces their studs just 16 inches apart.
Those shingles are called “Architectural Shingles.” They are MUCH nicer looking than traditional 3-tab variety and cost only about 20-25% more. When you consider that you’ll have to look at the roof for the next 20 years, the investment in architectural shingles really starts to make sense. Also, from a “functional” perspective, architectural shingles are heavier, and so they resist blowing off in high wind storms, etc. The only downside to architectural shingles is that you cannot (or really, you should not) lay another layer of shingles over top of them, which you can do with 3-tab shingles. You have to tear off the roof before putting on the new one.
While a wood or metal shed is likely to have walls that are heavily reinforced and as such not likely to warp, this is not the case with most plastic sheds. The typical plastic shed features single or double layer walls made of flexible polyethylene resin.
If you go tuffshed try and get 20% off 10-15 is ok. They are definitely expensive I have had 1 built and built about 8 myself. Your best is to find a used 1 of cl. Make sure you check city zoning. Lots of the deals people have them installed and city says remove it. Here is a 10X12 a quick cl search http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/grd/3550391462.html We bought it through Home Depot when it was on sale and they let us use a coupon too.
Recreation Unlimited was great: the saleswoman helped us choose the perfect playset for our kids, and the installers helped us choose the right place for it and explained everything we needed to know. We're very happy with our purchase.
They came when they said they would! We are thrilled with the look of the fence.
